When we hear about electric cars, we always hear about prices of over $30,000, and specs that generally can’t satisfy us in terms of autonomy.
Here’s E’mo, with its name coming from “efficient mobility”, or “electric motion”, a smart and cheap EV presented at the Geneva Motor Show this year. It weighs only 350kg, I guess it will have sufficient oomph for a city car. As we can see, it’s also convertible, and its $13,500 price makes it even more attractive for the green, non-millionaire people.
The only technical specification this car comes with as of this moment is that its battery will last about 100 km – not bad at all.
Stauffacherbenz, its manufacturer, says it will be ready by 2010, costing about 10,000 euros in Europe. Nice car, I can’t wait to see it made for real.
